The Unreal Tournament demo you get from some other sites or torrents are probably Locked. I will keep you posted when links to working copies or workarounds or cracks have surfaced.

   The FilePlanet version is not locked by a key of any kind. The pre-load was encrypted to make sure that no-one could play it before the official release but that’s all, Once it’s decrypted you can distribute it as you see fit.. I’ve not seen any versions of the UT3 demo online that are locked by a key, and I’d personally be wary of downloading ‘cracks’ or ‘keygens’ for this demo as they are likely to be malicious, containing spyware or other malware, they’re not necessary anyway.

   Its a free demo/beta, open to all. The more people they get playing it the better, why would they lock it with a key?
