Update 05/01/2009 Mike Morhaime Confirms Starcraft 2 will be released this year
Mike Morhaime, President and co-founder of Blizzard, announced today on E3 that Starcraft 2 that the game will be released before the year ends. Starcraft 2 will be available for beta testing this summer but of course the final Starcraft 2 release date could still be delayed until Blizzard deems the sequel for Korea’s national sport fit for release.
[6:54] The new Battle.net service will launch alongside Starcraft II, which represents a return to the company’s roots.
[6:54] Morhaime talks about the series’ well documented popularity in South Korea, where he says it is akin to a national sport.
[6:55] There will be a Starcraft II beta test later this summer, and Morhaime offers to get anyone in attendance into the program. Morhaime expects to launch Starcraft II by the end of the year, though also notes that it will only ship once the game is done.
[6:56] Morhaime said more about the games will be revealed at BlizzCon, and encourages everyone to attend the August show, which sold out yesterday.

Umm, there is more hype in the Starcraft series then Diablo series ever had. So, Diablo3 < SCII. Team3 isn’t even working on D3 as stated in blizzcon07 so there goes your hopes.

It’s actually all that likely to be b.s. as you’d think. SCII is in it’s final balancing stages, and all the blizzard friends (people who have turned in a ‘good’ bug report since last game release) are being invited to a close beta. Each tester only gets to run one race, to make sure everything works all right. All indications right now are pointing to a thanksgiving release in time for christmas.
Accually after the release of SCII blizzard announced that they will most likely be working on a Diablo 3 afterwords but right now they are focusing all their efforts on Starcraft 2. After SCII is released they wil be then focused on Diablo 3 because they have already started creating music for it (so i’ve heard). But still SCII is gonna be the SHIT!!

as for “testing” the game…at Gencon in Indianapolis, August 2007, Blizzard had a playable protoss demo…so it’s quite possible he played the game…I know I took my shot at it…the graphics and play were amazing…
hey… those guys who said they’ve played/tested Stacraft 2. what are the system specs of the starcraft 2 test / demo machines… this way we can get a shot at guessing a more accureate system requirements for starcraft 2…. the system requirements for starcraft 2 that were posted in reddit were absolutely fake… it says that you need a Geforce 9xxx family to get the most out of SC2 and even 8xxx would not be enough.. totally fake system requirements. so bleah, let us here about what the system specs are in the test from these people who say they’ve played starcraft 2
I’m not sure what the minimum specs are, but my Inspiron 1525 ran it just fine on medium settings (turion x2 2.1ghz, 2gb ram, stock video and sound), and had barely any lag on highest settings. It seemed like the engine was a bit stripped though, so it may be a bit more taxing for the final release.

I heard that you can make Starcraft II’s graphics either really really good or really really bad, so that it will be able to run well on older/suckier computers. Whatever, I don’t care when it comes out really. Let them take their time…make the game as best as possible.

Well, balance is almost the most important characteristic in a game, or else everyone would choose one race, or one unit that’s better than everything else. It would be a bummer if embarrasing bugs like banelings doing 10x damage or something happened. No, it’s not coming out in July. Blizzard has not announced a release date, but has made an estimation of around or a bit later than thanksgiving 2008.

I saw the demo at GenCon in Indi, it looked cool, but there were too many tools to actually get a chance to play it. I thought the graphics were OK, not as great as what it could be, but then again I didn’t get to play. So there’s my 2 cents.

WELL I just went out and re-bought the Diablo 2 + expansion AND starcraft + expansion. Im a HUGE blizzard fan, all the way back fom warcraft 1 and diablo 1, have played hundreds of hours of blizzard games, and even I can wait for the new starcraft. let them work out the bugs and deliver the game they want to deliver.

I’ve been a fan of only the Starcraft Series, even read the books. It’s a fun game to play, the storyline is enjoyable to an utmost certain degree. Anyone who’s ever played RTS games like Command & Conquer, must try this game out. It is on a whole new level, brining you to space like you’ve never thought before.

card so ill be able to run that no problem
by the way you have to have a video card with pixel shader 1 and a 128 vid ram or more and at least 2.0 ghz on cpu and at least 1 gig of ram for xp operating systems and 1.5 gig for vista to run the game it says so in the forums with the lead game designer =]

SC (or i should say blizzard) spawned the multi-billion dollar (yes billion) wordwide gaming competiton… sure others were there first, but SC exploded it. Blizz’s knack for finite and flawless gaming mechanics, in everything they touch, is still unmatched by any1. as such sc2 should be on track to break worlwide PC game sales. and diablo3 the same. that’s great n all, but i want to see what they are going to do with their upcoming next-gen mmo… they dont want to make it too similar to WoW (though they’ve already admitted they dont care if it tears into WoW player base, better to compete with #1 grossing mmo when its yerself)
i want them to push the envelope, i want em to break the model of standard mmo mechanics (quests n combat), i want that shiz to be so out of this f@#%ing world most of your previous mmos will drop off the face of the planet because they raise the bar so high. graphics and mechanics can only go so far, someone has to come up with new ways to interact and compete and build.

Actually, though alot of you mite not like it but the best game ever released wasnt starcraft or LOD it was like super mario or something. If ya dont believe me look it up. Though starcraft is like #7 or close to it. Diablo 2 is waay down the list but still rather high compared to all games. Also did you know that very very very few games or movies has ever recieved an offical 5 star rating?

Well for the 100 LIST you should see it says those are games released in January 2000 and later! SC Was released before that so it’s not on the list.
I think they should make a starcraft movie. They could certainly come up with a good plot. And with three races it would be like star ship troopers but better! And they should make it R.
movie idea is a great one, but in a discusion with freinds about starcraft and warcraft we worked out both would be like DUNE, there is a second remake of DUNE that is three movies in a boxset like PULP FICTION it shows the same story from three diffrent perspectives, all up it runs more than 6 hrs… very cool if you like DUNE, very long if you dont…

I heard from reliable sources that SC2 will be released in North America in late 2009. Apparently work on the expansion is the reason for the late release. Blizzard knows that the game will be modded in some form within months of its release so they want to capitalize on an expansion. It is also wise to note that work is also going forward on the first person shooter version of Starcraft. So don’t hold your breath …you might die before SC2 is released.

Well accually starcrafts first part with just the Terrian Campain will be released i beleive November 13th…..it will be a midnight release for alot of store but it will only have the terrain campain….they are working on the zerg and protoss but the good thing is that when u get just the terrain campain it has FULL multiplayer so u can play the full multiplayer we will just have to wait for the rest of the campains to come out…which will be probably yearly appart cause they want it to be the best they can make it but i cant wait till the 13th….picking it up at my work and playing it all the next day

November 4th and no one knows when it will release yet, either way it would be financially bad for bliz to release the game this early. Wrath of the Lich king comes out next Thursday, and Diablo 3 is on the horizon. While many gamers are about to break out into convolsive seisures from SC withdraws. For Blizzard, planning all the releases and shipping and other stuff, would require time to prepare. I am sure Blizzard is just as ready to have the satisfactory of a job well done…and the billions they are going to make. Right now would not be the best timing for the release of the part 1, and parts 2, and 3 in succession.

I know as a fact that SC2 will come out in 3-4 months. I don’t see any of you working for blizzard, now do I? I know because in tools (where I work) we are still making bug fixing and bug finding programs for SC2. Development has also been working on the user interface for BNET2 and the commands used (ex: in the old bnet ‘/f m _____’ was to message your friends). So, I would hope that you had some insider knowledge like me b4 making a complete ass of yourself.

Sc2 will be 1 of the most competitive games ever done to date.
I am not a huge gamer, I do not work with games, nor do i take refuge in games from a hard life. However, starcraft is known as the best game for PC ever made. The idea for starcraft 2 is not as simple as a lot of people make it out to be.
Reputation of the original causes any sequel to be a huge task. As much as I would like to pay the game today, I’d rather wait for it to be polished for perfection before I play so that disappointment becomes a pipe dream.
With that said, Blizzard is a company that does not allow leaks from their own employees about any type of progression throughout the construction of any game under construction. Anyone who is presenting themselves as an employee, providing realistic problems with realistic delay/release dates, must enjoy fronting a social-power which they will never possess.
What we should all be appreciative for is the concept of three release dates for separate campaign missions - race specific. These missions are apparently an entirely different outlook on how campaigns are to be conducted and require a lot of development time. If we had to wait for all three to be completed and released simultaneously, we would not be seeing SC2 for another year, at least.
IMO, SC2 will be released in two packages: one with the game for $49.99CA, and the other with some type of a collector edition for probably $120CA.
A lot of people (millions) want this game today, the longer they wait, the more compelled and enticed people are willing to pay for the game.

Let me think… Warcraft 3 has slow combat, almost no micro managing, small armies, and a storyline that’s not half as interesting or practical as Starcraft’s. I wouldn’t buy it, personally. Besides, it probly won’t be released untill like 2015 or something.

it’s officially about to go into beta testing, and that lasts like anywhere from a month to a year, and then they have to produce the cd and ship it which also takes awhile. We won’t see this game for at least 2 months, and that’s if we’re really really really lucky

Can someone tell me if they are planning on allowing destroyed air units/buildings to have a “debree” damage, where ground units/strucures are damages, or destroyed, if they come in contact with the falling - destroyed - unit/structure.

wow dudes check this out, theres a 4th race in starcraft 2 known as the Vanix. i just did a huge amount of reserch on it and i personaly tested them…. they are pure awesome. and heres some new tips for battlenet. 14 players can be in a match you can ally the computer in the game but like old battlenet the alliances are made before game starts. you can play as any of the 4 races and they will have a few secret missions as the Vanix thrown at you if or before you beat the game. you can change the fog of war during the game instead of haveing to sign out to edit it. day/night/foggy. the Vanix are a mix of protoss/zerg and hybrid making them seeming ultimate but hey even the strongest go down easy if you have enough suport. prewarning for the Vanix if you do manage to fight them. make sure you have a HUGE army because these guys dont cower nor do they stay hidden and unknown for long. they can have bases built pretty fast. it took 10 motherships of the protoss and some infested zlots to bring an army of 5 Vanix Shurklems down. the Shurklems are probably the scarist thing to fight of the Vanix. they are far tougher that anything you have imagined. 1 of them can easily make the odds of 100 terrans to that 1 Shurklem ballenced for the Shurklem is the fastest of all the units in the game, it can stealth its self at will, jump over cliffs and apear like the flood off of halo. exsept the Shurklem can easily tilt the balance of a full map war in the Vanix’s favor. even the overmind couldnt stop the Vanix if it was with all of the Terran Zerg and Protoss. im not saying their invincible but trust me they are not to be taken lightly at all. proceed with caution. hope you enjoyed this msg.

derek i have heard of the vanix but i didnt think that the Shurklem would be that powerful. i doubt the coming of the 4th race but it sounds promising and very exciting. hmm a 4th race would be awesome to play as and it would add a whole lot to the game.
well… we already knew the hybrids would be godlike. in starcraft book “shadow of the xel’naga,” the shell of the creature absorbed a nuke, as I recall.
However, common sense will tell you the hybrid won’t be a playable race in standard melee games. don’t be fooled by derek.

I hope it DOES come out in May. That’s only about 120 days away. However, Blizzard has been working on this game since 2003, that means it took about 1700 days to get it where it is.
So in this 120 days you think blizzard can actually put the game through beta, make modifications up to the very end, polish and reprogram computer ai, make b.net ready for use, wrap up the single player campaine and finish making all its centimatics, also doing lots of things I wouldn’t know about, and then they have to create the cds and ship them. (And don’t forget Diablo 3 has more people working on it.)
Nomatter how competant Blizzard is, I wouldn’t believe for a second it would come out in May untill it’s on the starcraft 2 website. And that goes for anyone else that blurts out random release dates.
I really think it will come out then because if you hadn’t noticed ITS BEEN IN BETA FOR A WHILE, **cough** game demos and game play shots **cough cough** no company in their right mind would put a demo or some vids out there unless it was in BETA! Obviously they are in the final stages like ajusting unit health, armor, attack and splash, and making sure the AI is sound with no crazy glitches like if your command you marine into the water he turns into a nuke or whatever.

Kerrigan killed Arcturas Mengsk’s father before Korhal was nuked. Arcturas had EVERY RIGHT to not feel guilty about leaving her to die, expecially since she was also questioning his morality. I’m rooting for Mengsk or his son to kill or make peace with Jim Raynor by the ending cintematic. Go Mengsk!

The release date is still unknown, but “should come out in 2009, if there are no set backs.” I can’t remember who i’m quoting but I think it’s legit. The following two expansions will probly come out within a couple years since the first game has already laid the groundwork.
They will all probly cost $59.99, but that price is no different than any next-gen game you’ll find these days, and this isn’t shovelware; this is already a quality game from what I’ve seen. And let’s be grateful that it won’t require monthly payments like WoW.

May 31st is the correct *projected release date, although you must notice the Price and release can be changed with out notice, thus granting blizz to push back the game release another month.. the way it works for the release and shipment of new games, is that they are always release at the end or begining of any given month. Kinda of like how Dvds always come out on tuesdays or Movies only on Fridays.

I’ve been playing sc since it first came out in 1998 I believe and diablo w/e that came out. I played these games till the cd melted in my hard drive. I remember having a list on my wall of my snowball wars record erm 349-11-3 erhm. and all I know is that if sc2 is 1% better then sc I will have an orgasm. but its a shame we will only get to play it for roughly 5-8 years. because as we all know after the first 5 years blizzard forgets loses interest in their games and let them go to hell with hackers and dupers and scammers. Oh, and Starcraft Ghost was a half-baked console stealth shooter that wasn’t good enough to be released, it was a horrible idea in the first place. The main character Nova doesn’t even deserve to live… she killed hundreds of innocent people with her mind, and that’s where I draw the line and say the Starcraft Ghost storyline would have probly been completely evil and lame. With her rediculous psi index maxed out as 10.0, she’s a unbalanced rigged bitch. She kills buildings full of people by just thinking it, for gods sake. I think the zerg fight with more dignity than that! She works for the dominion quelling rebellions, while mengsk is giving the ghost program an overhaul and executing half the ghosts in the government. Thank you Mengsk, the game’s only voice of reason! It’s over Nova, there will never be a game based on you because you suck, your a bitch, and your kill count will mostly be defenceless civilian people when it’s all said and done. If she goes within a hundred miles of Raynor’s Raiders I’ll have em fuck her up against all odds. She’s a horrible addition to the Starcraft universe, and she’ll die that way, too. If they ever do make starcraft Ghost i’ll buy the game just to die on purpose and throw the game away. The novel sucked too; some authors paint Mengsk out to be good or bad, but this is the topper. The author made it where Mengsk wanted to send a ordinary police wrangler dude to his death… what was Mengsk doing talking to an ordinary person anyway? by the way, beta hasn’t started yet. whoever on this forum said it had begun already was just guessing. back in late december, there was an interview with the blizzard people he said it would be “almost” time for beta, but it would appear “almost” means more than the month that has passed since he said that. at this point we can all agree that blizzard employees enjoy getting our hopes up.
people have also got rumors that beta won’t be untill march, and they were HAPPY to beleive the rumor. but the rumor has been debunked, which means it’s gonna be even longer. the closed beta date is decided, but that information isn’t available to the public. basicially, (pessimist though i am) it’s going twice as slow as i predicted, and now you see why. we’ll be lucky if it comes out before next christmas.

I have seen estimates in other blogs saying that the beta will come out in March 2009 and then the game will be released sometime in June 2009. Yeah, they are tweaking this and adjusting that, maybe creating a map or two, but the game engine and graphics are set, so….With every passing month that the game fails to be released, it’s one more month closer to becomeing obsolete compared to some other game on the horizon that will be far more high-tech, what with the graphics and what not. So the clock is ticking until people pass the SC2 box on the shelf/wall and pick up the other better looking game. It’s in Blizzard’s best interest to get that game out now. I actually find the June 2009 date quite probable, but the March date is a little bit of a stretch; I do not think that Blizzard is going to get it finished in one months. Three or four months is more probable, but who knows I could be wrong.

blizzard has released a lot of news today, but it seems to be getting further from release in that they’re incorperating all new gameplay mechanics… and it’s getting absolutely rediculous.
The dark pylon is the most rediculous, it increases workers harvesting from 8 to 9 in an area of effect… would be great if you didn’t have to manually cast it. Its next ability of cloaking a single unit, it’s good but theres only so much a temporarily cloaked unit can do. Imagine using an arbitor in sc1 and using a glitch to make a zerg unit invisable forever. now imagine the invisableness only lasting a minute or so. now imagine it attacking your enemy. really weak. the dark pylon’s third ability transfers energy to energy using units, sort of like ‘consume’ if you’ve ever bothered to use that.
orbital command is another mistake. abiltiy 1: it makes temporary mineral miners. okay. abiility 2: increases a supply depot from 8 food to 10. are you kidding me? no way anyones gonna go through all the trouble. scanner sweeper is good, though. I don’t have much to say about the zerg queen, though it seems to require more micro management than a w3 hero.
So there you have it. A massive influx of complicated things you can do while playing your game. It clearly won’t be as simple as sc1; a tried and true formula. My take is this: release the game and save the fancy dark pylon and and other balancing for the expansion.
I agree with Zpothu, to an extent, I am proud of Blizzard for trying to make sure this isn’t another “BF2142″ release, if you remember when that game came out, oh..my..god what a pack of glitch that was. On the other hand, if they keep pushing back the release date again and again and again they’ll eventually have to re-work the graphics just to make sure it looks gorgeous when it hits the shelves >.<
Then again, maybe they are holding off to subvert any slack in the sales cause by the recession up-in-coming? Just a theory of course.
I agree with zpothu in that they should release the game and add the fancy stuff in the expansion. But i do think that the added abilities and stuff are petty cool. btw, the new queen moves are the following: (1) Build Creep Tumor: created additional creep in the area that you build it in, (2) Spawn Larva: causes it so that you get an additional 4 larva around your hatchery, and (3) Razor Plague: it creates a swarm of small zerg creatures that attack enemies the wander into the swarm; the zerg player can control the swarm.
Anyone heard anything about the editor… My W3 screwed up so I can’t do anything on my new computer. Is it going to have a GUI or are we talking a total Jass system, or other type of script. Just wondering, I had checked out the sight and all they said was information will be released closer to the release date.. Are we look at a wait to get our hands on the Editor. Just seems like Bliz might sperate it in their hastiness to get the game out.

Don’t waste your time learning about all the units and abilities. They’re subject to change… Blizzard continuously says they’re subject to change… and Blizzard reserves the right to make them subject to change… They’re just plain subject to change. If you thought that was annoying in any way, stay away from the Q and A batches. (Because it’s all subject to change.) Save your interest in the units for when the game has been released, assuming it ever will be.

The best way to learn starcraft is to play ladder maps, like Lost Temple. I would advise you to do FFA against computer opponents untill you win every time. Then play in pvp battles and learn to make yourself a better than average player, although you should expect to lose nearly half the time. As for UMS, learn to adapt to a variety of situations, there is no real formula for any category of UMS.
And if you suck, I will unlock your potential if you let me. I kick the average person’s ass but I know many that kick my ass.

I have a feeling this game wont be as good as the first one. i think that there is to many abilities and to much focus will be on this abilities. i like how on the first one its like build send therefor big armies and you dont have to worry about all these abilities. i just hope it will have big armies rather then like little warcraft ones
Platinum, ur talking about the supply limit, and I would have to say from the Gameplay i’ve seen, that it is still 200. The abilities will just make the game funner, and add more to deal with. I like the abilities so far.
i don’t like too much abilities, either. When I play the game (if it ever comes out), I may warm up to it.
the supply limit is 200 at this point and it should take to sc’s direction and not wc3’s. don’t sweat it. the good old starcraft gameplay formula has pretty much already been fucked with and there’s nothing we can do about it.
I’ve got to complain about the Mothership. It’s unique status has been changed officially about 5 times, but within the last few weeks i’ve seen it unoficially changed a fuck load of times. it should NOT be unique, in my opinion. make it worth just the right amount of food to make it balanced, even if it has to be worth 50 or so. i wouldn’t think 4 motherships is rigged, so that should be fair.
Well, 2009 has been here for three months and still no word from Blizzard… God, they’re like fucking Valve when it comes to releasing games in a timely manner.

I’ll write because I believe many people are still under some presumption that the game will be released next week. Zpothu is correct to assume there being a suggested 4-8 month closed beta testing period. As for the date that the actual closed-beta test is to begin, no one knows except for blizzard staff, however, we can make educated guesses based on approximations of the distribution frequency for the beta keys themselves, exercised by Blizzard.
I don’t know much about BlizzCon, nor do I know how many people actually received beta keys, but I can assume that from a business perspective, the company would want live testing to commence among hundreds of participants, if not thousands; understand that the game is expected to sell over 40 Million copies, I would suspect a zero-recall mentality, but that’s just me. With that said, ‘they’ are still developing means for distribution of these keys. If you can conceptualize this last statement, then a rational approximation for any release date is in 2010.
Until then, we wait…
I suggest playing SC1 non-fastest maps for a while, getting your build back on track, right Zpothu? Hopefully this confirms any suspicion of identity thievery you have towards UniB.

Axman, I wish you luck in iccup, but I can’t really relate. Charles could do well in it, but not me. I wouldn’t sweat the hackers and/or hacker accusations. Money maps were made by hackers and so are most of the ums maps. Plus, everyone has map hack; if blizzard doesn’t enforce their rules we reserve the right to not play by them. They’ve been teasing us with this for 2 years now. Enough is enough. I understand that Blizzard wants to create the perfect game and all, but they’ve had more than enough time - especially with their resources. This is turning into nothing more than a publicity ploy to milk this new product for every cent they can get on day 1. When the game does come out (some time in 2011), I for one am boycotting. If they want our business, they should work a little faster. I’m sure that the loss of my $40 to their bottom line will make them think twice next time!

I believe this will be a closed beta test… For a beta test to be issued the game has to be complete in every aspect, for the most part. The reason for this being a ‘closed’ beta test is because this is a small game and does not require a lot of resources ‘ testers ‘ to complete the beta testing. However when a game requires an ‘open’ beta test such as the popular ‘World of Warcraft’, is due to the game being so big and having so much content to explore and test. Which would require maybe thousands of people to be testers said by Charles about SC2.
SC2 would not need such resources like thousands of people but maybe 50 people, this being because SC2 has a campaign which can be beaten and has an end…Which World of Warcraft has no end or no way to be ‘Beaten.’ So by having only 50 or so people testing they can collect and conclude more data from SC2. This being said the beta testing will not take such an elongated process of 4-8 months as said by Zpothu, because it is not a big game with a lot of content, its a simple 3 race campaign RTS, which if dedicated to the game for 1 day could be beaten in 1 day, tell me if im wrong the original SC1 campaign was very long. I can see people doubting me, due to SC2 being developed with whole new technology and graphics, but that is it, SC2 will be about the same length but have more units and maps to learn about but it will remain basically the same RTS as the original with more technology, graphics, and units.
Finally, since the game has to be 99% complete to be issued into a beta test, again this not being a huge game, testing and repair work will be completed with in a timely manner. I believe this process of trial and error will take about 1-2 months and released close to May or Early June…This being which most of you have not though of Kids getting out of school for the summer..Due to this release of hundreds of thousands of kids to have no responsiblity and to have weeks and weeks of free time not doing anything, what better time to waste your summer on than a brand new sequel to a very hyped up Starcraft 2. So just wait a little bit longer folks.

I like the summer ‘09 prediction. With a game everyone accepts will be small compared with other new releases (Warcraft 3 was under 1 gig) and the fact that Blizzard has been working on this game for years and predicted a release last year, there can be NO doubt. That 90 day guess won’t be far off.

However, that 90 day countdown seems very fake. I could quote a lot of blizzard employee quotes that would cast doubt on your prediction. Oddly, you chose a nice even number of days like 90. Explain that for us.

At least Blizzard is not an EA corporate whore pushing CRAP out the door to line their executive’s pockets. Be thankful they take all the time needed to develop good games. well, you’re going to have to clearly define any problems you’ve had installing it, in order to get help. if you log on to b.net, you’ll get all the patches. If it doesn’t work, ask a professional. Don’t bother asking us on the forum. I never even heard of a macbook before today.

If you want to get technical then we will. You are indeed correct in saying that the 1st Amendment gives us all the freedom of speech. However in this case, your freedom of speech is restricted and/or limited by Blizzards “law”.
Here is a simple explanation of that law:

Thus concluding that all of your ineffective algebraic formulas, as well as UNeducated guesses to find out the release date of StarCraft II, are not so different from someone attempting to decode and solve the formula for a CD key of a blizzard product. Something that we, as a company, also wish to remain secret.
So as you can clearly see, or possibly not due to your own

Blizzard’s policy states that if we were to submit private information in any way, it would be used for commercial purposes. Who says the people playing your company products aren’t under 13? Your policy states you’ll only stop distribution of the commercialization of them if they claim that they are 13. What that tells me is that it’s not in compliance with federal law unless it is self proclaimed that the person is under the age of 13 with parental consent.

Not quite sure yet of a date…and no, im not that into competitive, i play the comp on 1v2 all the time, but thats all. As far as PVP goes, i usually suck. And the campaign was easy, for the most part, except that one dam zerg level that gave u 30 minutes too kill toss, h8ed that lvl….

oh yeah, that level is the one where you beat in 25 minutes for the bonus! that one did make me angry, basically I built some sunks into the southern end of his base while sending legions of gaurdians and hydras. after much saving and loading, i did beat it.
for me the hardest campaine level was tassadar vs the conclave #1, “homeland” that thing fucked me up. enemy arbiters casting stasis, limitless enemies (which is normal), and i had to use all 3 heroes at once with shield batteries to even stand a chance. i can honestly say it was as hard as Omega.
I can only beat one comp at once, in a melee, so you are probly better, axman.

This is off-topic, but I always wondered if starcaft campaine battles were actually represented to scale. Does a marine represent a hundred marines? In the UED victory report, they said billions of zerg died (let’s say 2 billion), and obviously you killed no more than 1000 in that battle. In that case, one zergling must represent 2 million zerglings. The horror!
My only other theory is that it IS represented to scale, but we’re to assume other battles are taking place outside the parameters of the map. (for example, mutalisks overrunning Duran’s position)

I just wanted to say that 1) blizzard’s hype for the game and slow ass production of it makes every fan feel like they’ve been shot and hanged on the inside (i’ve spent hours posting on forums, honestly getting hanged would be a fucking relief), and 2) it’s all blizzard’s fault for not making an official sc2 site that is updated daily with true information. if they did, there would be no place for false rumors. Desperaux, are you insane? All’s i use are macs, and i have NEVER had a crash, a freeze, a virus, or EVER had to contact any tech support. When I talk about computers to other people, alls they talk about is how there computer now has a virus, or that it needs to be taken to geek squad. When Apple makes a product, its flawless, no problems, when Microsoft makes a product its as Glitchy as hell. Granted, An Apple computer will cost you more, but, in the long run, it will be cheaper. No repairs, no Maintenance. Thats why Apple has 86% of the MP3 market, the iPod is great, and people know it. The Zune however, Microsoft has already said they may be discontinuing it, because it sucks, like their computers. When Vista came out, alls you heard about was problems. yeah i may still play sc1. it definately has sentimental value. i remember the first few months I had it, it was so magical. i loved the graphics, the music, and the feeling of unknown in the terran campaign. zerg always hiding in the darkness… lovable characters… the first encounter with protoss and their shields. i’ll definately play it again after sc2 comes out.
maybe sc1 will come with sc2, it would only be 350MB on the disk. they should definately throw that in with it.

My letters were much more than that. And no, they weren’t written, they were just emails sent out to multiple divisions of Blizzard. And they werent hate emails just ranting profanity. They definitely showed my distaste for them, but not to the point of no return.
Also, i am on a lowly iMac, 2.93 GHz, and iTunes doesn’t slow it down at all. And yea, if i insulted a mac or PC in the OLD DAYS, i would be insulting both. But at this point in time, one is night (windows) and one is day (Mac).
And Desperaux, Zpothus right, still not even a closed Beta, and then after that, if they skip a public beta, it will still take at least 3-4 months. So im still predicting 2010.

He is made up of like 20 terran buildings attached to eachother à la transformers so he’s like the size of godzilla. The transformation itself was fun to watch, but it looks too complicated to ever happen in-game, even in custom games.
The biggest damper I can think to put on it is that fact that there are bigger things out there. We’re to understand that battlecruisers are bigger than they appear in-game, but they’ve been scaled down. Terra-Tron is like ten times the size of a battlecruiser in-game, which makes for serious inconsistancy. But even more so, any unit will have the ability to be bigger than even Terra-Tron. In warcraft 3, any unit in the game could have its scaling value tampered with, making small units so big your screen gets completely blocked. They say the same editor functions will be in sc2. So big units really aren’t that special anymore.
Anyway, those are my thoughts.
blizzard doesn’t release things only when there is profit incoming. any time blizzard releases a new game people will be flocking to the stores to get their hands on it. they release things when they are ready, and not a moment sooner.

Custom units are part of the real game, because the world editor is a large part of what makes the game good. imagine warcraft 3 or starcraft 1 with no editor; you’d have everyone playing melee games 24/7.

See, it’s simple but I never really thought of it. If fans knew it would come out in 2010, they would stop giving blizzard feedback on the Q&As and crap they dish out once in a while. Blizzard does have a use for fans, more or less.
Also, a fan that saved up 60$ for sc2 and hears about a 2010 release date will probably spend that 60$ on a different videogame, and blizzard might lose to competitors.

terratron i think SHOULD be a unit in sc2. bunyman4, you say that starcraft 1 is 1D? That’s the funniest thing I ever heard. ANYTHING on a flat screen is 2D. Even if the game itself is 3D, the only part you can actually see is in 2D because it’s a flat surface you’re viewing. As such, sc1 is not 1D because (i’m no expert, but…) 1D things consist of dots or straight lines and things like that. Even a black screen is 2D because you’re seeing it on a flat 2D surface. Furthermore, sc1 is considered 2D by most everyone, as far as I know. Lastly, sc1 and the sc1 expansion have the exact same graphics, albeit the expansion throws in some new units but it’s still the same graphics. Hopefully that cleared up your confusion.
and sc1 being worth getting is an understatement. great storyline, best gameplay ever, all for 20$. I probably invested a thousand hours into playing sc1 online. not many people of this generation understand this but: GRAPHICS DON’T MAKE THE GAME. what makes the game is fluid and addicting gameplay.

Well you might be right but some of us aren’t even old enough to have a job and might not be making a big deal like you are about it and I can understand why you would be upset because they said the game would be out 2 years from now. I do however agree with the fact that they are holding us back probably to make the game more wanted than it should be so everyone will buy it because they’ve been waiting for so long. Its smart but if they do it for too long it will make the public angry.

Heffer, I understand your argument, but… wanting to enjoy a game of Starcraft 2 has NOTHING to do with our potential. Everyone in the world has hobbies, and if it wasn’t for videogames I’d probably be hanging out with all the delinquent kids my age and jumping over speeding cars and mooning random people and doing drugs. And at least in sc2 we’ll learn some more sci-fi terminology and politics.
And we won’t be tired of sc2 in a week. I couldn’t say the same for Super Smash Bros Brawl, but sc2 should be different. Sc1 was good for 11+ years, I’m sure sc2 will last a long time.

Im sure a lot of you guys are tired of waiting for starcraft 2 to get released. First they show us the game 2 years ago that pretty much looked like it was ready for release in 6-12 months… then they gave away beta keys last year… then they reveal diablo 3 in that blizzcon as well.. then last week they “accidentally” published the Starcraft 2 Battlereport script and map image on their site then took it down immediately after too many Starcraft fans took notice of it.

Well, they said br2 will be up by the end of the week, so I’ll keep an open mind untill I see it.
World of Warcrack is the most life destructive game (apart from Second Life). It can and will consume your every hour as it did mine. I was hooked on it for three years but I am proud to say that I broke free of the chains that bound me to this sinister game. Going on 6 months now without a single desire to re-activate my account and log in. I was a guild leader of over 100 active accounts. We raided and completed everything Blizzard threw at us. This took up the majority of my time. Although I didn’t piss in a bottle at my desk, there were things in my life I neglected. Yes, WoW is Blizzards cash cow. And although I am getting restless waiting for SC2, I want to be sure they produce a worthy game at the same time that is enjoyable and somewhat free of bugs/glitches/issues. Hopefully, they are working hard and not just sitting around the water cooler drinking frappacinos being lazy.
Well, wether it be WoW or sc2, just don’t play more than 3 hours in one sitting, they have a restriction against that in China and it is common sense everywhere else. MMO’s have led one kid to suicide, and also it led one man to homicide when his friend stole his virtual sword. There are more examples far beyond that. Rediculous, eh? If you feel your sanity start to slip, take some time off to think. And enjoy yourself, it’s just a game. Battle Report 2 is up, and it’s pretty good. It was better than I expected. Now that we see how far along the Zerg are, they have little excuse to hold off on Beta. Between now and two months, I’m fairly certain closed beta will begin.

Considering Beta still isnt out, and summer is in 2 months, we can reasonably assume its not coming out this summer. Which leads us to believe the next possible time is Christmas. This I still doubt, I have been waiting and waiting for this game. So based on what I have seen so far, I going to put my money on the table for Q1 2010. Not that I want it to come out then, but thats what seems realistic considering Blizzard.

lol… do not despair, the game will probably be released within six months after the closed beta start date, and the closed beta start date will probably happen before july. That is to say, 2009 is possible.
There have been many beta false alarms, but China is preparing for beta and someone there thinks that beta will start before May. Blizzard hasn’t discounted the rumor yet, but it’s only been a couple days. In less than a week we’ll know if the rumor was real or not.
I have a question, what is the difference in between the beta keys that were given over the past year, and the closed beta that has been mensioned by a few here? Well from I gather they have been recieving feedback for quite some time from the beta’s that were already giving, probably enough to make the tweeks that were needed so why have a closed beta for specific regions instead of being content with the ones they gave?
First of all, people that are holders of beta keys have not givin Blizzard any feedback because beta has not started yet. Don’t try to confuse me. If all holders of beta keys could actually give feedback to blizzard, we would have an internet full of leaked information and gameplay videos. Also, I’m pretty sure closed beta doesn’t mean only few regions will get to play it, it means few people will get to play it.
well, i’m just going to assume that when closed beta starts, only fans with keys will get to play it. I can’t tell you if they need to get a installation cd or if they are downloading it, or if they are simply emulating it off a website somehow. The keys must exist in physical space because they got passed out at a blizzard convention. maybe the keys are rudimentary installation discs, and they need to download the actual content off b.net 2.0. Anyway, I’m going to assume that when open beta starts (a couple months after closed beta) anyone will be able to play the beta.

I do not have any experience with Beta testing, becuase I am 16 and underage. But I do know all of you that think being a Beta tester is fun, or those of you with hopes of making a career out of game design and game programming, are in for a let down. Trust me. It is the opposite of the fun you get while PLAYING the game, its the most boring thing in the world. Disagree if you want, but I am correct either way. Besides…with the economy thats not a good choice career.
I also know that closed beta’s are only with people close to the company, people who work for gaming companies, and people who are sponsers. Open Beta is for people over 18 and appointed, unless you got a Key at a convention, which cancels out the first 2.
I’m glad beta testing is unpleasent; I don’t have to envy people with beta keys. Imagine all the people trying to win contests for beta keys, such losers. As for a career in game testing or creation: those people with try to make sc2 maps, and that is quite time consuming and when it’s done they’ll have tested it so much that they’ll hate it. They shall learn their lesson quickly, I think.
Yes the economy is bad, but there’s no shortage of people wasting hundreds of dollars at their local gamestop. I wouldn’t worry about the economy as it relates to your job, pretty much every profession is at risk for massive layoffs.

Garrett, to be frank, nobody has a clue when its coming out. The chinese are thinking maybe may 6th (their time) for the beta. Apparently Blizzard has been asking them to get together people for teh betas, but that could just be hype. I still say Beta will be after This years Blizzcon (will be an attraction), and then the game will b released around december at best.

As for release date I’m positive we can expect it near the end of 2009. Christmas is the most logical and by the look of BR2 the game is nearly finished. Some graphical polishing and overhaul on the zerg maybe and obviously this much talked about beta testing.
It makes the most sense to release just before christmas as (discussed earlier in this forum)this is when people spend the most in the gaming industry. I think they will loose a lot of business if they wait till early 2010.
I’m really looking forward to this game and I have to admit recent talk regarding Warcraft 4 (RTS) sounds promising as-well. Warcraft 3 has to be the best game ever and much like starcraft 1 is still being played by nearly a million world wide 7 years after release!!

Warcraft 4 coming out? Hmm I have some thoughts about that. I will admit that now W3 is being played much more than SC, but thats for two reasons. It came out much later, meaning better graphics. Second reason is that the battle.net (and editor) on W3 is ten times better than anything before that (once again, because it was out much later. However, story wise, I think Warcraft 3 was seriously lacking and definately could not compare to Starcraft, as well as normal gameplay. If there was no map editor and all these mini games on W3 like DOTA, I would much rather play Starcraft.
Starcraft 2 is definately gonna blow away any warcraft game out or that is coming out because of its superior and captivating storyline, and now it has the amazing graphics and sick online play. And also, with Diablo 3 coming out as well, I think W4 is gonna be left in the dust.
Elite Forces, eh? not very flashy, in my opinion. As for clan leadership, there’s four qualities a leader should have.
1) is online a lot
2) is skilled at games
3) is a sc2 map maker
4) is likeable

But I’ll have to tell you: my idea of a good clan is one where people just hang out, play games, make maps, or just chill. I hate being in clans based on DotA or ladder ranking in melee games. Too many jocks join those clans, and I’m not too competitive. However, I don’t want anyone who’s a better map maker than me to be in the clan; I have an inferiority complex. That said, I’m sure we can agree on something by that time.

1) Most people don’t like fighting opponents that are better than them. I promise that if you join the EF clan, there will be people so much better than you that you’re going to have to work your ass off to keep up with them, only for them to say “you suck, never get on my team again.” or “your a n00b lol” or something like that.
2) even if you are only a grunt, your win record in standard melee games will have an effect on your clan ranking. Mr. prestigious desperaux over there is conspiring to have the best ladder clan ranking in all of b.net. Therefore, if don’t win enough, he’ll just kick you out of the clan.

Well Z… Since i will be making the clan when Starcraft 2 first launches, everyone will be very new to the game and mechanics. Even though previous Starcraft 1 experience will be valueable to adapting to the new Starcraft, So its hard to say that one person will be better than the other in the first few weeks. Also i do not wish to have the best ladder clan in Starcraft 2 but it would be nice. Additionally i am very wealthy and will be holding in clan and outer clan Tournaments with cash prizes and stuff as an advertisement to draw people to the clan and the channel so that it will be a friendly competitive atmosphere, there will be a very nice website for stats and forum board and many other things like trivia and such, many neat things will be brought into Clan EF!

i’m glad you do like rpgs. stacraft 2 editor has a confirmed level up system and a confirmed item system. I will make many rpgs, I assure you. However, I draw the line with saving character codes, programming codes is obviously difficult and the original sc didn’t have codes and its rpgs were just fine. Maybe sc2 will have an actual easy-to-use code system for saving your character. I sure hope so.
Ok so Z.. Its very obvious that we both want 2 different types of clans you want a boring RPG clan like Clan TBR ( The Black Road RPG WC3 ) to add to that you can always beat a computer and that computer will never change in play level.. it will always be the same, because it has no intelligence, its programmed to do one thing to follow the instructions of which it was programmed to do. However if you play against actual people you will always forsee a challenge and progressively get better and better, instead of staying at the same level of gameplay due to playing an opponet that never changes. Besides the facts, i do like RPG Games so hopefully we could be clan friends…..or you could join mine cause mines better and you should be my map maker, 2nd hand

Desperaux, you may think my clan is boring, but it’s just laid back and relaxed. Your chat room channels will be filled with like 50 sc2 competitive fanatics and bots that will never shut up. In my clan, you’ll get piece of mind, only about 1-10 people in the channel at one time. The Black Road RPG? I would never reduce myself to playing a single map everyday, I like variety a much as the next person. And you’re right; computers aren’t as talented as humans, but they can micromanage individual units infinate times better than a human.
And let’s set the record straight… my clan isn’t just an RPG clan, it’s also multiplayer campaign clan, defence game clan, compstomp clan (beating comps in standard games), and things like that. And I might play a competitive game now and then, but I don’t play to win. I play so that everyone enjoys themselves as much as possible.

i understand that people dont want them to fuck up the game by releasing it too early. in the past, blizzard has always worked on one game at a time. since the World of Warcraft series they’ve been developing two of their most anticipated sequels, SCII and Diablo III. some people are probably worried that if they dont take their time theyre just gonna throw our dreams in the garbage disposal, but for fucks sake, its been over ten years since Starcraft came out. no other sequel has taken them this long. i think they have had plenty of time to work on it. i think thats why they removed so many characters. and they made it look like Warcraft III. i was expecting more brutal graphics like the original, but they are cartoony. at least the graphics are sharper now, and they do look smoother than the WCIII graphics. i just hope the wait is worth it. which, i’m sure it will be.

Intimidating looks. And all the other models have been updated to be shinier. I really just want BALANCE. WarCraft 3 has a Beautiful editor and everything but to tell the truth its balancing sucked @$$. I estimate its release round before or after Diablo 3. O and aperantle SCII is going to be sold in 3 pieces, like Dawn of War like. Sound like crap. But I guess that you’ll be able to use all the races in multiplayer. Don’t know thou. It’s all guesses. The people that really know the answers likes to see us guessing, I bet they read these pages before they go to bed.

On the subject of warcraft 3, I’d say there’s 4 reasons starcraft is more fun than warcraft 3.
1) armies are bigger in sc because the army supply limit is 200 and units cost less supply. creating units is faster and less of a commitment.
2) units attack faster and have less hp in sc. one hit ko’s are exciting and happen a lot, like a dark templar killing a marine or zergling. lots of abilities are one hit ko’s. Know any abilities in wc3 that are one hit ko’s? i don’t think so.
3) units walk around the map faster for good hit and run tactics in sc. you can get a science vessel into a zerg base and use irradiate on an overlord. Try doing hit and runs in wc3… it’s impossible because damage is too slow!
4) wc3 seems to impose a timetable. Build a base, creep, and attack. Hurry up or die. If you don’t creep or build enough units, your team will call you a noob. In sc, just build a bunch of goliaths/hydras/goons (which is easy) and your teammates will think you’re a hero.

quality over quantity guys. A lot of game companies should learn from Blizzard and Valve. as for D3 > Starcraft 2, that is a subjective matter. For me, both games are awesome and it would be impossible (for me) to tell which game will be better even if those 2 games have been out for 10 years… not to mention all the updates/patches improve the games so significantly.

look for cliffs overlooking your choke point. placing ranged defences up there should do the trick, because scarabs can’t travel up cliffs. If you’re zerg use lurkers… if you’re terran use tanks… if you’re protoss use reavers…

hey ppl i just read all the posts from the beggining well maybe not all but almost and there is a lot of crazy ppl here but i dont bother because i myself am crazy. I have been waiting for this game for a long time and whenever i think about sc2 i must play sc1 to kill the time. i must agree with the one post i read before we must raid blizzard labs to get this game otherwhise we will all get grey or die from this anticipation.
I have bought 6 copies of Starcraft. Two for each race (Box Art) when they came out and then the Expansion pack, as well well as the Battle Chests so I could MAKE SURE that my friends could play as well.
I am GLAD that it is takeing a while for Starcraft II to come out, because I KNOW that the wait will be woth it because they are doing EVERYTHING they can to make sure I will LOVE IT!!!

it’s fine to not have an exact target date set, but if they announce it and it’s still three years from completion, they should have given us some clue. A lot of people hoped it would be out a year within being announced because they don’t know what we know now. ^gamestop says February 9, 2008.

I would say they are both going to be good, but there’s no way in hell that d3 will be as good as d2. They’ve already fucked with the combat system, the games basically screwed.

well, the D3 combat system has the following changes:
1) no healing potions; you find health and mana powerups dropped by monsters.
2) it has all new classes except barbarian. (I’ll miss the necro)
3) terrain is destructable
that’s basically it. I say that if they have a winning formula, they shouldn’t fuck with it. when will they ever learn. all i want is the same d2 but with better graphics and new levels.

nah, baldurs gate for the pc was good but a bit difficult. there was none for the gamecube. I played baldurs gate dark alliance on the ps2 and xbox. dungeon and dragons and champions of norrath also fit into the genre well.

BlizzCon 2009 starts Friday August 21st and ends on the 22nd. I seriously doubt the game will launch before then. They will probably be handing out more beta keys to those that bought tickets.

with the state of SC2 when the new HD video came out (not BR), it’s impossible for SC2 to be released within a month from now. The gameplay’s almost done but the most crucial thing about BETA games are GRAPHICS! yes, it’s graphics coz NOOBS judge games by their GRAPHICS, and noobs judge the final game by the BETA. noobs dont know what BETA means and there’s a lot of NOOBS in the world today (especially the console gamers waiting for SC2) who will just prolly whine when they see jerky beta animations and some other stuff that should be expected in a beta.
belive it or not the beta will start between july 20th and august 1st and the full game won’t be out until september maybe two or three weeks after blizzcon, theese are not speculations this is the truth, dont ask how i know that, hang on there the long wait will pay off.
Both batch release of tickets to BlizzCon sold out within 30 minutes after opening up sales. You could probably find tickets being scalped for unheard of prices online though but I don’t think Blizzard will be selling anymore. They are offering up a PPV viewing of the event on DirectTV for 39.99 and you get a free WoW pet if you order it..lol. A murloc in a Terran suit.. pfft.. I’m so glad I broke out of world of warcrack.
BTW- The most crucial thing about BETA is NOT graphics Carl.. It’s game play functionality… i.e.- bugs! The graphics in beta versions will be the same as they are when the game hits the shelves. Do YOU even know what “noob” means?

if sc2’s release date waits for B.net 2.0 to be completed, than it could have a 2010 release date.
personally i think the single player will keep me entertained for a month at least. i’m hoping they just release it asap.

Future Shop announce it for the 31 october 2009 and GameStop announce it for 1st December 09. Im sure it will be around Christmas.

well..Blizzard knows how much their game is worth. so if it means that the game is so good that not a single pirate should be able to play it in multiplayer, it doesn’t matter if the legitimate customers suffer since SC2 is just too good.

oh so that’s what LAN is. you got computers networked together yet no internet connection. you must live in a third world country or something. i can’t imagine b.net 2.0 working for you.
and yes it’s sad that pirates have forced computer game makers to punish legitamite buyers. i hear some games can only be installed 3 times. still, everything computer related gets pirated nowadays. the internet is full of loopholes and illegal downloads. the whole system needs to undergo some more policing. there are some websites designed for pirating computer software like sc, obviously the internet police were taking a break when those were approved of.
or, maybe the people in the entertainment industry should give up trying to profit off their arts and actually try to get jobs that physically keep society stable.

There is nothing anyone can do to prevent hacking and cracking and believe me everything they come up with has a solution, if sc 2 comes out without lan support i bet that some hacker will invent a program to join lan games and then blizzard will make a patch to prevent it and then he will make a new version of the program and so on, the truth is that piratery will never die.

DESPERAUX WAS WRONG ABOUT HIS COUNTDOWN!!!!! he said “90 days untill game is released” then he said “the countdown was for beta obvisouly” and now his countdown has run out.
Desperaux shall achnowedge the errors of his ways or I shall slander him untill the game comes out.
Hopefully SC2 will come out before SC Ghost. God what a let down.
blizzard is hesitant about releasing the beta coz the graphics ain’t that good yet and most (noobs) people judge the game by the beta graphics
Just go and do *something* until someone tells you that the game is out, and if you survive the shock go buy the thing and lock yourselves in your bunkers for the next 5-8 months

I’m almost through with the Dark Templar Saga and I got some spoilers for you!
***STORYLINE SPOILERS*** (and my speculations)
Xel’naga live in cycles (not explained why) and everytime their time comes to an end they make two species that will one day come together and become reincarnated Xel’naga.
In this cycle, they chose a race that has “purity of form” which this time is Protoss.
(The Xel’naga left a lot of khadarin crystels on Aiur which is how I speculate they will be reborn from. That, or the Xel’naga temples that hatch into gigantic unknown beasts will have something to do with it.)
Then the Xel’naga made the Zerg, which had “purity of essence.” The Xel’naga were unexpectedly annihilated by the zerg, making this cycle unique.
(Three other unique things about this cycle: Terrans are mixing it up, the Overmind was defeated, and Samir Duran is creating a super race of hybrids that in the last words of Samir Duran in the bonus mission: “Your universe will be changed… forever.”)
I speculate that if the overmind had succeeded on Aiur than the Xel’naga would have been reincarnated without any problems. Play that scenario again and see how much forsight the game developers had in terms of the storyline.

Matt they delaying the beta so they said the game will have delay too. The release will be in 2010. I wish they will change date again December will be the best date.
My prediction was entirely accurate and my starcraft 2 Elite Forces website is going very well.
well im sorry to say this guys, but there is about a 5 percent chance that starcraft 2 will release in 09. The next thing i say is going to be a hack/scam, but i swear its not. Incase you havent heard the EMPLOYEE beta has leaked from blizzard. I was watching sc2 vids on youtube and i saw it, and theres a link to…i think its filesource? and you can dl it from there. open the file you dl’d and a login screen will come up. Type in your battle.net account and in about 3 days (idk why its so long) an email with the key code and a dl link will be sent to you. on youtube just search starcraft 2 employee beta and it should be the first thing to appear. Once again i know this sounds like a hack or scam but its not

In 2010 sometime it WILL come out, and then it will not be as good as you all think. I had high hopes for it, but really, sc1 you all are going to find is most likely going to have been longer played than sc2(when it eventually comes out.) Yeah just get preoccupied with something else and surprise yourself.

qqq, i DO got a job, and i got college. getting a girlfriend is purely situational, wether i wait for sc2 or not won’t change the chances for getting a girlfriend. you need to think things over logically before you tell us how to live our lives.
it is true that new videogames have dissapointed me 75% of the time, but blizzard has never made a bad game, i’m REALLY invested in the storyline which SHALL continue. AND what I’ve already seen in the gameplay video is cool enough for me.
I can not stop thinking about sc2 untill it comes out. it’s the only thought that motivates me, without it I would have no great happiness on my horizon at all. It’s the only thing that makes me think my future will be happier than my present.
