Finally, EA officially announced Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 (though EA had been dropping a lot of hints and clues about this in EA forums in the past years and RA3 was unofficially announced back in 2004). The screenshots below does not tell much aside from naval units being present in the game again (the last CnC game that had naval units was way back in Command and Conquer Red Alert 2) and proof that EA had been working on this for a while. So now we have 2 CnC titles on queue, Tiberium (FPS) and Red Alert 3 (RTS).

There’s also a two and a half minute Red Alert 3 trailer that can be downloaded from Gamershell. CnC fans out there might want to check that out as well and heres the link :

Red Alert 3 Trailer

From the looks of it, a lot of in-game stuff might be released in the next few days so if you guys want to be updated on this just subscribe to the RSS feeds or check us out again little bit later.

Whether EA will try to put this up against Blizzard’s Starcraft 2, only time (specifically the release date) will tell. Command and Conquer and Blizzard games had been vying for the PC strategy game throne ever since they started making games for the said genre. Both of them do a good job at satisfying their respective fan boys.

If u ever played red alert 2 it beat the crap outta starcfraft (except in korea), but i doubt EA will make this half as good as westwood made red alert 2, anyways i think they’ll be equal in the eyes of there respective fans, i am a fan of both, but my pc isn’t fast enough for starcraft 2 so ill let my xbox handle RA3

i have had a look at all the trailers i can find it looks like a great game as we’ve now come to expect from C&C HOWEVER the i feel from what i have seen that the unit design isn’t quite as good by comparison as C&C3 Tiberium Wars there good idea’s on unit capabilitys but just something isn’t quite right hopefully this will be amended by it’s it’s release in november
