Mike Morhaime, president of Blizzard Entertainment, announced today that those who attended Blizzcon 2008 will receive Starcraft 2 Beta Keys. The Starcraft 2 Beta key is more than enough to justify the Blizzcon ticket priced at $100. The Starcraft 2 beta keys will allow people who attended Blizzcon 2008 to download the beta build of Starcraft 2 thought it has not been announced whether the keys would be reusable or not.

With the Starcraft 2 beta, fansites and pro-gamers and casual gamers alike would be able to help Starcraft 2 developers balance the game further before release. Starcraft 2 entering beta stage is also a sign that Starcraft 2 is “almost” ready for release.

Starcraft 2 beta keys and other items included in the Blizzcon Schwag Bag started popping up on ebay. Expect more of Starcraft 2 beta keys to be sold in ebay today. The beta key is so precious that it can even pay for your trip to Blizzcon, the Blizzcon 2008 ticket and a trip back home.
