Comments on: FIXING GTA IV (PC) Errors, crashes, install problems and freezes.

So, after upgrading my system, I decided to give GTA4 another shot. I’ve had no issues with other games, Far Cry 2, ect.

After 3.5 hours I finally got to play the game, ONLY TO HAVE IT FREEZE after just a few minutes of play. If I were to pause the game it would freeze when gameplay resumed.

I uninstalled the game, only to see that other games, completely unrelated to GTA4 were now crashing. I had to do a system restore and reinstall the other, unrelated game.

I was going to do a system restore anyway, since GTA4 makes you install soo much CRAP just to play this piece of garbage.

I will never be buying another Rockstar product again.

One good thing that came from this, I will never again buy a PC game without reading lots of reviews, so at least this will never happen to me again (hopefully).

yo tengo un ploblema que cuando instale el pache 1.0.2.0, juego 30 minutos se me tilda y se me aparece la pantalla azul con letras blancas que va bajando y se reinicia la pc por favor no se que hacer si alguien sabe como solucionarlo porfavor que me diga

i m using it in a 32 bit windows 7,2gb ram and 256 mb 67oo nvdia graphics.the game launches and prompys to lower graphics bt it cant be changed.and on starting game,loading screen shows up and the game stops saying: gta4 fatal error;RESC10.plz help,i m crazy about it

i installed the game and after unlocking manual it keeps having the screen up but i cant put in any codes:s

Problem: NO MENU
When GTA4 is succesfully started, the screen where you can watch movies, read news, press start, press guide, press options and press exit. It seems Start,guide, options and exit are invisible. They can’t be clicked with the mouse. However you can still use the arrow keys, you will hear the same sound, and you will be able to start the game etc. But all text will be missing. Example: When you press ESC, ingame. You will see a map. But no options above it, to click with the mouse. Again you will be able to use the arrowkeys to navigate, but everthing is invisible, each screen with any text.

A reason could be is because I installed a few mods and other software to improve/play the game.

Anyone any clue how to solve this? I am not the only one using these mods!

whenever i start the game it’s fine then when i press start and it enters the staring new game screen it stays there forever any fixs?

When I’m Trying To Download Games For Windows It Says This Exact Thing
When you try to download or install from the Games for Windows – LIVE client, you receive the following error message:
Can’t install item (0×800B0003)
Please Help me.
