GTA IV Patch (PC) patch changes / change log :

-A fix to the crash after legal screen that some German customers were reporting.
-Numerous improvements to the video editor: Smarter naming of videos, improved rendering quality, better fx during replays
-Fix to bowling while using certain sensitive mice
-Fix for ATI 1900 shadows
-Overall savings to memory
-Graphic improvements to particle systems and mirrors
-Multiplayer character settings are preserved
-Support for DirectInput controllers. Note: The current hack way of supporting these controllers may not work with the improved functionality. So we recommend you remove the hack before upgrading to the patch.

Issues with power management software have also been fixed (slow speed, double speed issues). Even after the patch comes out setting power management software to maximum performance is recommended. We’ve seen cases where power management software does not detect the game is running and puts the CPU in green mode.

Besides the patch we’ve also improved the way the Social Club handles data this should have greatly reduced or eliminated the Mma10 error. If you are still receiving this error after logging in and out of Social Club we would like to know as much info as you can about it.

   stupid ass patch, mine was working great until I updated it and now every time I start Bernie’s mission loading goes on for five minutes and then it just blocks…

    Never mind guys the glitch with the rotating camera was caused by Logitech Set Point, software bundled with my mx518 mouse, so fyi; if you have it is obviously incompatible with the gta IV patch..

    Yeah, I downloaded this patch, got the Windows Games Live update, updated my DirectX9, and I still get the DirectX 9 Video card not found error. This game hasn’t even been in my house for 24 hours, and it is already by far the biggest piece of shit I own.

    Make a patch that doesn’t corporately bias your customers into buying the latest ATI card. My computer runs everything else amazingly so I really fail to see how GTA IV can’t manage to be honest about their minimum requirements, and then cause you to make a mandatory upgrade to play.

    If I have a computer that can record through a mixer, IM, stream video and websites while scanning for malware on 5 seperate programs all at once, I think GTA can run on my comp. This is seriously disappointing coming from Rockstar.

    FIX THIS NOW AND STOP LACING YOUR POCKETS WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS’ FRUSTRATIONS.

    Hi!!

    I have big problems with GTA IV and i will try the patch for pc that you have above.

    But i wonder; what do you exactly mean with: “So we recommend you remove the hack before upgrading to the patch”.
    If you have a “step by step” document that i can follow i would be so greatful!
