Blizzard, still the king of community centric games.

Starcraft 2 has been delayed to 2010 but fanrage seems to have quelled when Dustin Browder demonstrated the power of Starcraft 2’s map editor (Galaxy editor). New triggers and options never before seen on any RTS map editor (soon to be) made available for the Starcraft 2 modding and map making community will enable users to create Starcraft 2 maps that will redefine UMS as we know it.

Yeah… This is why people always rag on EA. Blizzard goes and lets you make a 3PS/Side-scroll shooter out of their game using just the map editor. With EA they didn’t even update the SDK for Kane’s wrath.

Mind you, RTS modding was born when someone pulled a rules.ini out of Red Alert 1 with a Hex editor, which goes to show we may have started the wole modding thing but nowadays it really is necessary to have good support…

the 3rd person shooter was amazing, too. A lot of people are going to make rpgs with that…

this is going to be awesome.

I just hope it will be very easy to make maps with ai can always be play in skirmish since you know I don’t really like the trouble to design waypoint trigger or anything like the ea does with it’s horible game’s SDK. or stupid standalone version uprising has tons of bug, and never get fixed.
