Before moving on, make sure that your pc meets AION’s minimum system requirements (or better yet, exceed the recommended system specs)

– Start of list : Aion Errors and solutions –
Problem #1 : Aion Crashes on or after User Agreement
Solution A : Try disabling your firewall. Especially Norton users
Problem #2 : Aion Crashes on Server select screen
Solution A: Try Solution for problem #1 (disabling firewall)
Problem #3 : Aion randomly Crashes in-game. Usually accompanied by error messages regarding aion.bin
Solution A: (as posted by Jatorious)
I was playing around with settings – and if you COPY(!) paste a backup to your desktop..then delete the Aion.bin from your directory. you can go into the NClauncher – right click on aion – and press ‘repair-consistency check’.
It will then proceed to ensure your aion folder has all the right files in it to function correctly.
Start the game after it’s finished and this should create a new Aion.Bin
Solution B : (as posted by xerious)
If you are running AION on Windows Vista and AION randomly crashes, update your Vista copy to SP2 and update your Directx copy to AT LEAST June2008 build (meaning any directx version not earlier than June2008). These options should be available in your Windows update menu if you still dont have them. Also, update your Video card drivers to the latest.

Uninstall AION, and reinstall ONLY AFTER doing a FULL uninstall via Safe mode, and running RM afterwards.

I was able to fix my crashing by lowering my texture detail in graphic options to the lowest setting. Not really ideal but at least I can play until the issue gets resolved.

If you bought the NCsoft version,
1: Open NCSOFT launcher
2: Right-CLick AION
3: go to repair(consistancy check)
Problem #3 : Steam/NCsoft version of Aion Crashes

1: If you bought the game through steam follow these steps!
2: right click AION; click properties;
3. Click the LOCAL FILES Top Tab, and click “verify integrity of game cache”
Problem #4 : Drop rate is significantly low compared to what your system is capable of

Problem #5 : Aion Freezes at logon screen

delete the whole bin32 file located in the aion file.
then go to nc launcher and right click aion and repair.
this normally works. hope it does for all of you.

If you are using a laptop that uses Conextant Lan Cards
It appears to be laptops with Conexant sound cards. It appears this card has a problem initializing for use with Aion.
Please try going into the Windows Device Manager (Press the Windows Key and ‘Pause” on the keyboard – this will load the system properties. Then on the hardware tab click Device Manager)
Once there click the plus next to “Sound, video and game controllers”. Then right-click on the Conexant sound card and choose disable.
This should allow you to load and play the game.
In order to try to get sound to work for the game however you will need to contact your laptop manufacturer for information on updating your sound card drivers. Otherwise you may want to consider a USB sound device such as USB headphones.
Problem #6 : aion.bin and CrySystem.dll – Loading failed errors (Crysystem.dll Invalid acess to memory / an Access Violation in module CrySystem.dll at …)
Solution A:
Gameguard can cause aion.bin errors on exit and during in-game, try to disable GG (Gameguard)

Disable your anti-virus. Every startup issue I’ve had with Aion has been due to anti-virus software mistaking Aion (or GameGuard when it was used, but that’s a different issue) programs as viruses. Just this morning my Aion decided to stop loading. That’s when I noticed McAfee had “detected” an Artemis Trojan as Aion.bin and removed the file completely. To fix this, I had to disable McAfee Live Protection, then Repair my Aion client. After that I was able to start up without an issue.
Problem #7 : Aion Install errors
Solution A : If you bought the physical copy of the game, The CDs may be corrupted. Try to copy the contets the CD/DVD to your hard drive to check if the disks are unreadable on some sectors
Solution B : If you downloaded the game via steam or other digital download methods, try to delete all the install files on your HD and restart the download
Problem #8 : Aion Crashes on Startup / Aion error “Failed to connect… try again…)
Solution A : Disable your Anti-virus, or Firewall
Solution B: Try to disable Gameguard
Problem #9 : Aion Error message : “NSIS Error. The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. This could be result of a damaged disk, a failed download or a virus” or “Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer’s author to obtain a new copy.”

When loading up Aion, it gets to the splash screen with the man with the wings and the game freezes my pc. Unable to regain control of pc and have to do hard reset in order to get back into windows. This only ocurs for aion, no trouble with Age of conan, Lord of the Rings Online and other MMos that I have played. The game works on my laptop, and using the same copy of aion that works on the laptop on my pc still causes the game to freeze my pc.
I just bought AION today and im having troubles running it on my Windows 7 computer. Installation went fine, my computer can handle the game (i7, 4gb ram, ATI 4870) but it specifically wont work with windows 7 . Aion just crashes back to desktop after the splash image appears, screen turns black then boom… nothing. Good thing i can dual boot to Vista and play the game from there with no problems but i dont really want to boot to Vista anymore since i’ll be getting rid of it soon to get more space and get rid of the loader phase at startup.
Im using Windows 7 64bit, my client crashes whenever i go to morheim. i tried deleting and then reinstalling aion 5x already. can anyone help me out?
aion randomly freezes on me when i play the game. it doesnt seem to have any specific action or place that makes it freeze. the music continues and the game stays frozen for 30 seconds up to 1 min 20 seconds at a time (it’s frozen so much that i actually got a stop watch out to see how long they lasted) then after the freeze the game seems to “catch up” and run fine for another couple minutes. I know it’s not net connection becuase i have a person playing off same connection as me with a different comp and they arent getting any issues…. if anyone has any insight to this plz help!
My specs are
AMD Athalon 4850e dual core 2.5 GHz
4 gigs RAM
Windows Vista SP2
Nvidia Geforce 9200 (with latest drivers installed, tried updating them to new ones still didnt work)
I am running W7 64 bit, and my client has worked fine. Try to repair the game via the ncsoft client(right click on aion-repair), I started crashing after the new patch, repairing it seemed to work. Next thing to try is making sure Aion is allowed through the firewall. If that still doesn’t work, I would try for NCsoft support and Google.

I’ve got the exact problem, when I am in Morheim Aion just shuttes down. It pops up a windows window saying that somethinig caused Aion to crash.
I managed to get out from Morheim (tp) and now everythings fine except i cant get to Morheim =/
This happend after the latest patch.
I just bought Aion today. i checked if my computer had the requirements and it did. i’m alright with the fact it wouldn’t be the greatest to run on my computer but anyway. After i hit Play, and the box with the man w/ his wings comes up, this pops up “Aion Client – Aion Client has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvenience”. i truthfully do not want to spend the hours downloading it again.
Any Suggestions?
I just got the game installed today and as soon as i logged in i realized all the textures were screwed up. my mountains consist of the colors green, red and blue. it appears that the ground is completly covered in water, and my sword has the same effect as the mountains. someone help me out please
i am playing on my dell studio xps graphics card is a Radeon HD 3670. when i am near water in game i get blue squares every where, when i run in the water the splashes are blue squares please help me fix this.

I have a weird one I haven’t managed to figure out yet. Randomly, every 15-45 minutes Aion will alt-tab itself to the desktop. This will happen in the middle of battles, harvesting, crafting, or even when I’m idling around not clicking on or typing anything at all. Suddenly *BAM* staring at the desktop and Aion is minimized. It doesn’t crash, I can click on it and resume, but it’s VERY annoying. Any suggestions?

Aion Crashes my whole computer when it brings up the log in screen.
when i go to the server select screen it tells me ” No game server is available to the authorization server ” then it turns itself off
I just installed AION.But when i try to run the game it fails to go past the NCSoft black logo screen (which is the one immediately after the NCSoft launcher). It just closes down and throws me back to desktop. OS is XP Pro SP2. Any thoughts why would this occur? Any help would be greatly appreciated..Tnx

i followed the installations and when i run the client
i was stucked at the ncsoft screen. i waited for about 10 mins and when i turn on the task manager, it says not responding.

I’m sick of Aion not working. Fuck this game, and fuck NCSoft. At least I can play WoW without some fucking error and it closing on Login.
David I totally agree. Played during beta and for 1 month after, workd fine. Then quit awhile( for WoW); came back and now it randomly freezes up and requires a hard reboot. After the 5th crash (reinstalled it no use.) I changed NO hardware and NO software(Except an Aion patch.) . My video card drivers corrupted on start up one day because of AION’s crash(Currently redownloading them again. To repair them and send an angry letter and a refund request.)
Funny part is I just wasted $15 to find out I can play on my character for 1-10 mins before a crash, damn new Aion patch.
IF YOU ARE HAVING FREEZING PROBLEMS WITH AION IT’S MOST LIKELY BECUASE OF YOUR VIDEO CARD AND A MEMORY LEAK ERROR BECAUSE OF A CORRUPTION IN THE DRIVER PROGRAM OF WHICH YOUR CARD COMPANY OR AION WON’T PATCH (BUT IT’S AION WHO FUCKED IT UP SO NVIDIA OR ATI SHOULDN’T HAVE TO PATCH IT.)

Fuck NCSOFT= Especially if they corrupted my GTS 8800 640MB DDR3 video card (over-clocked.) LOL now i’m missing my WoW pvp time repairing my computer.

Have a problem similar to described by Brandon. Game is freezing (cursor is not and the system is not hanging, just game) for few seconds then it’s continue to run normally till next freez. Had BSOD one time after this. BSOD was called by gfx driver crash, but i’ve run bunch of tests(3dmarks, furmark, real games, games benchmarks) and tests of the CPU and RAM like Prime95, S&M, Memtest. And my system didn’t crashed! WTF?! I have spent a lot of money on this system! It must run this fu…g game just fine, but I have this pain in the ass instead. Can anyone advise the solution of this problem (exept stop playing this crap) or at least point me in the right direction?

My Aion freezes when i press play in NCsoft launcher… PLease help me… i’ve tryed all the solutions etc… Aww, and i can’t even play WoW when i can’t patch up to 3.3.5 =/
